Preschool

We create an idealistic environment for young learners to explore and learn by providing a warm, welcoming environment. Students are guided in the acquisition of important social skills, focusing on politeness and good manners. We create a safe environment to help students grow both physically and emotionally.

  • Courses: Full day course (8:30-18:00), 5 hours course (9:00-14:00)

After greeting their teachers and friends, students put their belongings in their lockers, change out of their uniforms and prepare for the day ahead.

All Laurus students, from preschool to kindergarten, come together to say good morning, sing and discuss the daily agenda.

Students and teachers sit together in a welcoming circle to practice daily English, such as numbers, colors and days of the week.

At a nearby nature park we encourage the children to search for new and interesting plants and animals. What will we discover today?

Even for our young learners, experimentation and inquiry-based learning is something we focus on. Students are given hands on experience to touch and explore new ideas during our preschool science classes.

Kindergarten

Our kindergarten curriculum is based around science and literacy, encouraging experimentation and inquiry based learning. We provide both karate and physical education classes, taught by specialist teaching staff, for physical and mental development.

Morning Assembly

Children from preschool and kindergarten join together for a warm and fun welcome to the day! Teachers review the daily schedule with songs and topical discussions.

Math

Students are encouraged to build awareness and readiness for mathematical concepts with hands-on activities to do and real-world problems to solve.

Exploration time or P.E. (Karate)

Students go to the park and explore the natural environment around them. Once a week we also have a P.E. class and a Karate class with our specialist teachers!

English

Phonics provides the cornerstone from which our students learn to read and write. Emphasis is also placed on speaking with a considered syllabus that includes real-world situations such as role-play and show and tell.
