Working alongside specialist instructors, students will design and carry out authentic research projects in their chosen scientific field, exploring concepts and techniques far beyond the classroom curriculum.
Gain hands-on experience using our specialist laboratories and industry-standard equipment while developing the investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills used by real scientists. Whether your ambition is a future in medicine, engineering, research, or technology, this programme will give you a valuable head start.
Students will also develop essential communication and presentation skills, learning how to share and defend their findings with confidence, just as professional researchers do.
Research Pathways
Monday – Biological & Life Sciences
Explore the science of living systems through research in genetics, microbiology, ecology, physiology, and biotechnology.
Thursday – Chemistry & Molecular Innovation
Discover the hidden world of molecules and reactions. Investigate cutting-edge topics such as forensic chemistry, materials science, pharmaceuticals, nanotechnology, and chemical engineering while conducting experiments beyond the scope of the classroom.
Friday – Physics, Engineering & Future Technologies
Explore the laws that govern our universe through research in physics, astronomy, energy, mechanics, electronics, and emerging technologies.
