What is Summer Camp?
In general, summer camp is a short-term program during summer vacation where children engage in fun, hands-on activities in a group setting. Unlike summer school, which typically runs for several weeks with a structured academic curriculum, summer camps are usually shorter (1-5 days) and focus on experiential learning through play, crafts, music, and exploration.
At Laurus, our Summer Camp combines the joy of summer fun with meaningful STEAM education—all delivered in an English immersion environment. Children discover science through hands-on experiments, express creativity through arts and crafts, and explore world cultures, all while naturally absorbing English in a nurturing setting.
Three Programs for Every Age
Laurus offers three types of programs tailored to age and purpose—from preschoolers to high school students.
While "Summer Camp" and "Summer School" are sometimes used interchangeably, at Laurus they serve distinct purposes. Summer Camp is an activity-based program centered on hands-on experiences, social interaction, and play, running from a single day up to a week and designed for children ages 1.5 to 6. Summer School, on the other hand, focuses on learning and skill development through a structured curriculum, typically running for 1 to 7 weeks and designed for elementary school students.
