Experience Innovative Learning This Spring

The STEAM Spring Events at Laurus International School of Science offer hands-on STEAM programmes designed for children aged 1.5 to 15.

Across three age-specific tracks, students engage in multidisciplinary learning through science, technology, engineering, and art-based projects that encourage experimentation, problem-solving, and creativity.

Built on an inquiry-based, international curriculum, our spring programmes nurture curiosity, critical thinking, and a genuine love of discovery — all within a supportive, all-English learning environment.

Who Are Our STEAM Spring Events Best For?

Our events are designed for all three age groups and developmental stages. At the same time, certain children and families tend to benefit most, regardless of age.

For Curious Young Makers

Great for kids who love building, experimenting, and bringing their ideas to life through hands-on learning.

For Future STEM Innovators

Perfect for children who love challenges and want to think deeper, solve harder problems, and grow through STEM.

For Globally Minded Children

Ideal for children who thrive in diverse environments and are curious about the world beyond borders.

For Returnees Staying Fluent

Designed for returnee students who want to maintain and strengthen their English in an English rich environment.

Biomimicry - Built by Nature

Discover how nature inspires invention! Through biomimicry, hands-on experiments, design challenges, and an excursion to see real-world examples, students create nature-inspired prototypes and present them at our Spring Inventors Expo—connecting science, creativity, and innovation.

Please note that the time schedule is subject to change.

Nature and Technology Workshop

In this programme, we will welcome designer and engineer Yuta Ikeya for a special workshop exploring the relationship between nature and technology.

One of Ikeya’s works, “Metamorphonic,” is a design project that reads the movements of silkworms using sensors and transforms those changes into sound.

Through this work, students will explore how the movements of familiar living creatures can be connected with technology to create new forms of expression.

The session encourages students to develop their observation skills and expand their ways of thinking, while reflecting on questions such as how we observe nature and how technology can be used creatively. It offers an opportunity to nurture both scientific curiosity and creativity.

Engineering the Illusion: A STEAM-Based Cinematic Experience

Explore the science behind movie-making. Students investigate motion, sound, light, and special effects through hands-on activities, learn how cameras and microphones work, and collaborate in teams to plan, film, and edit an original short movie. The programme concludes with a cinematic excursion and a red-carpet-style screening and awards ceremony.

Please note that the time schedule is subject to change.

Analogue Filmmaking Workshop

On Day 3, designer and engineer Yuta Ikeya will join as a guest instructor to lead an analogue filmmaking workshop.

He has explored the mechanics of film photography using a motion picture camera he designed and produced with a 3D printer, and his work has been featured in international media.

Through engagement with analogue film processes, students gain insight into how moving images are physically created and develop a deeper understanding of the principles behind filmmaking.

Seasonal Events Parent Testimonials

My son joined for five days and really enjoyed all the fun activities.
He was so excited to go every single day.
Thank you so much.
- A Parent from Seasonal Camp (Preschool & Kindergarten)

My son was very shy on the first day, but from the second day on, he came home smiling and saying how much he enjoyed the program.
As a working parent, having such opportunities is incredibly valuable for us. We would love to join again next time!

- A Parent from Seasonal School (Primary School )

It was very well organized. My child had a great time and felt she gained a lot from the program. We’re even considering transferring her to Laurus Secondary School.
